CYPRESS – Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) has purchased 127.8 acres in the Howard Hughes Corporation's 11,400-acre Bridgeland master-planned community. The ISD will build a nearly one million-sf multicampus educational village.

The village will include a four-story high school, three-story middle school and two-story elementary school designed to accommodate over 5,900 students and teachers.

The schools, which will share common areas and multi-use facilities, will be between Mason Rd. and Grand Pkwy.

Completions for both the elementary and high schools are expected for summer 2017. The middle school will come later.

The new CFISD high school will be the district's 12th, and the elementary school will be its 55th.
