Dallas Cowboy’s score Ford Center at the Star in Frisco
FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys released a new naming rights agreement
with Ford for the team’s new multipurpose facility in Frisco — The Ford
Center at The Star.
The headquarters and 12,000-seat indoor
multipurpose event center is part of a larger, 91-acre Cowboys-anchored
development at the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and the Dallas
North Tollway — part of Frisco’s ‘$5 Billion Mile,’ which includes more
than $5 billion worth of planned development in a mile stretch of the
Tollway.
The announcement of the ten-year extension to the Cowboys
relationship with Ford Motor Co. and the North Texas Ford dealers was
made after the Cowboys reached the halfway mark in the construction of
the $350 million world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys and Frisco’s
special event center.
The six-story, 435,000-sf corporate
headquarters building will house the football club’s operations and is
expected to overlook the indoor practice facility and fields.
Other
plans for the project include two outdoor fields, as well as additional
office, retail and restaurant space and an Omni hotel.
Construction
on the headquarters, practice fields and indoor event center is slated
for completion in summer 2016, and will also host graduations, games and
other Frisco Independent School District events.
