Construction takes off at Centurion Brownsville Terminal
BROWNSVILLE – Centurion Terminals has begun construction of the Centurion Brownsville Terminal at the Port of Brownsville.
Construction
on the terminal is expected to generate more than 500 jobs and a
creation of 35 permanent jobs when fully operational in third
quarter 2016.
Centurion Terminals, a provider of crude
transportation, storage and processing, will have 1.5+ million barrels
of storage capacity with room for expansion in the terminal, once
complete.
Features will include state-of-the-art facilities,
automated material handling, a liquid cargo dock, three track rail spur
and ten truck LACT skids.
Additionally, an initial two processing
towers will allow Centurion to process condensate at a rate of up to
50,000 barrels per day to produce products that could be used in the
local market or exported.
