San Antonio: Fulton focus on 322-unit Sonterra Heights buy
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio-based Fulton Property Group is bolstering its local
focus with its recent purchase of the Sonterra Heights apartment complex in
the Stone Oak area.
Previously The Marquis at Stone Oak, the 332-unit property at 18777 Stone Oak Pkwy. is Fulton’s second multifamily
acquisition this year.
As San Antonio’s growth becomes increasingly apparent among investors,
multifamily acquisition activity will only continue to rise.
- Just last month, a Canadian REIT bought the Midtown at Brackenridge for $50
million. - Austin-based Kenshokai Kk purchased the South Point Oaks Apartments along
Northwest Loop 410. - Tampa, Florida-based Integritas Residential acquired the Amesbury at
Deerfield Apartments in North Central San Antonio. - California-based Regional Investment & Management bought the 328-unit
Silver Rock complex in the northwest part of town.
What has also become clear is that there is an expanding market for both new
construction and value-add properties.
The most important factor in San Antonio multifamily acquisitions now is all
about location, with Stone Oak, the Northwest and the Medical Center community
leading the pack in terms of acquisition volume.
