500 Apartments for burgeoning Mueller in Central Austin

​​​AUSTIN – Two apartment developers are set to build more than 500 apartments at Mueller in Central Austin.

Chicago-based
AMLI Residential will build 318 units near the Aldrich Street town
center. Projected to be finished first quarter 2017, it is registered
to be LEED Gold certified.

Charleston, South Carolina-based
Greystar will build 201 units nearby for the active adult, 55-plus
market. It will deliver its "Overture" project in fourth quarter 2016.
Amenities and other features are designed specifically for seniors.

Both
projects will be configured in four story buildings and reserve 15
percent of the units for the Mueller Affordable Housing Program.

When these projects are completed, Mueller will include 1,740 apartment units.
