HOUSTON – Los Angeles-based Mariak — a manufacturer of custom window coverings, blinds and shades — has leased 104,000 sf of industrial space in Ellington Trade Center, located at 12550 Highway 3.
Industrial space on the east and southeast side of Houston has been in high demand as companies seek locations in the Port of Houston.
Ellington Trade Center, Building D, is a 284,000-sf Class A industrial building in the east-southeast far industrial submarket.
According to JLL second quarter research, an influx of new tenants in the submarket has spurred new construction announcements as developers aim to take advantage of the cycle.
The majority of these tenants’ requirements range from 50,000 to 100,000 sf.
