San Antonio: 305-unit icebreaker for River North area

​SAN ANTONIO – AREA Real Estate is set to break ground on a new
305-unit, six-story multifamily complex at 815 Ave. B in the River North
area.

The local development runs a full city block along Ave. B between 8th St. and 9th St.

The development for the former ice manufacturing plant property will be designed by Lake Flato’s David Lake and WGW Architect’s Fred Wilson.​

The
development will include 3,500 sf of indoor and outdoor retail space,
which AREA founder David Adelman said would be for a restaurant that
would serve as an amenity to the tenants.

The pocket of land
surrounding the lower Broadway corridor will soon have nearly 1,000
units under construction thanks to both soaring demand and prices.
