New FHA Chief Announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Realtor.org) – Edward Golding has been named the new chief of the Federal Housing Administration.

Golding, who will replace acting commissioner Biniam Gebre April 7, has worked at Freddie Mac for several years. The Wall Street Journal reports that he is "largely expected to carry out the policies of his predecessor while attempting to further efforts to persuade lenders to expand the pool of borrowers to whom they’ll issue loans."
