WASHINGTON, D.C. (WalletHub) – Personal finance website WalletHub has released its latest ranking of states with the highest and lowest property taxes. Texas ranked among the highest.

According to the company's study, Texans currently pay an average of $3,327 per year in property taxes, compared with the national average of $2,089. The only states with higher averages than Texas are Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Illinois and New Jersey.

The study also ranked states by highest vehicle property taxes, which Texas does not collect. In addition, Texans do not pay a state income tax.
