WASHINGTON, D.C. (NAHB) – Perhaps you're not moving, but staying put and doing some remodeling work. In that case, May is also National Home Remodeling Month, and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has kicked things off by surveying its more than 55,000 members who are involved in the remodeling industry to find out which home-improvement projects were most popular last year.
Bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects were by far the most common jobs among American homeowners, according to NAHB's latest Remodeling Market Index survey.
Seventy-eight percent of respondents said bathroom remodels were their most common projects last year, followed closely by kitchen remodels at 77 percent.
