Two Texas Cities Among Top Ten Best for Families

Plano ranked second on the list, behind only Overland Park, Kan. Grand Prairie came in tenth. 

Plano is also first in highest median family salary, first in most affordable housing, fifth in lowest percentage of families below the poverty level and fourth in lowest divorce rate.

Lubbock ranks fourth in most affordable housing, and Corpus Christi ranks third in most playgrounds per capita.

Other American cities that ranked in the top ten were Virginia Beach, Va.; Lincoln, Neb.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Madison, Wis.; Fremont, Calif.; Chesapeake, Va.; and Colorado Springs, Colo.
