The plant, which will manufacture renewable wind-energy components, will create over 300 new jobs and $41 million in capital investment in the state. A Texas Enterprise Fund grant offer of $1.85 million has been extended to GRI.
The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation partnered with the governor's office to facilitate state and local support for the facility.
Construction will begin this year and be completed by the end of 2016.
