As the Center's econometrician, Ali reviews massive amounts of raw data and extracts meaningful information. He tracks economic trends and then forecasts what's ahead for the industry through his monthly Texas economic outlook and Tierra Grande articles. He co-authored a book, The Power of Profit: Business and Economic Analyses, Forecasting, and Stock Valuation, which was published in 2009. His Ph.D. is from the University of Birmingham, U.K.
