A little more of Eden for New Braunfels
(Medical : San Antonio) 11/4/2009

(New Braunfels) - Eden Home celebrates 100 years in 2010 with a new name and plans for a $30 million expansion to meet the needs of retiring baby boomers.

Home to some 350 retirees, Eden Home is a faith-based, nonprofit, continuing care retirement community on the hill above Landa Park in New Braunfels.

Eden Home, 631 Lakeview Blvd., will now be “Eden Hill Communities,” according to Ann Whitis, director of marketing.

Plans include 90 units with one and two-bedroom independent living. Also included will be a pool, wellness center, restaurants and a bistro.

Also planned are two separate assisted-living neighborhoods dedicated to people with Alzheimer’s disease.

Developers will open a sales office in January 2010.
